Why
did you decide on a career with BOCES?
"I come from a business background with a CPA background and numbers interest me. I wanted to make that jump from business to education. I wanted to see what the numbers revealed and where education needed to go."
Why is changing the way people look at BOCES one of your priorities?
"All around the county, we have an issue with graduation and drop-out rates. One thing we can do is provide a student with a technical skill. Not everybody is cut out to go to college and that's not a bad thing."
What makes you maintain civic involvement with your community?
"You can't be quiet. I'm an optimistic person. You need to get out there and get your voice heard to make change. I want to make an impact and bring my skills to the table."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I still see myself in Oswego County and in the education field. I hope I'll be making an impact where it's needed most. I'd like to be in a school administration position and helping to close the gap between business and education."
