Why did you decide to write the book? "That came from starting an MA in history. It was something i wrote and then came back to it as a book. It sold well and showed there was a lot of interest in local history."
Why did you get involved with Rotary? "They are a very worthwhile community service program. The bicentennial program will be a new community room for the library when it's renovated. Rotary of course tries to eradicate polio worldwide. We also work with scholarships. They are a really fun group of people."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I still want to be working in the campus environment. There is so much student energy here, it makes you want to raise your game. I want to do more history writing and publish one book or maybe more."
