How did you get into programming at Center for Business?
"I started work with campus technology services while I was in college. In 2003, I graduated and obtained full-time employment with Campus Technology Services. I also did some small programming things. I was selected for this position when it opened."
Why did you decide to found a film group?
"It was out of frustration of artistic opportunity in the area. I had to go to Syracuse or Rochester to watch independent or foreign films. I felt, and a number of other people felt, that there was enough interest in the area to sustain and start a group. Instead of just complaining about it, I did something."
Why are the arts so important to you?
"I've always been involved with arts in various forms all my life. Art as a whole has always been interesting. It utilizes an infinite array of mechanisms to deliver a message. Film is a very expressive medium and I've always enjoyed it as an art and as a form of entertainment."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"There's so many uncertainties. Probably owning a property or two and in a tenured track position working as a full-time professional and probably in higher education."
