What is ARK and how did you get involved with it?
"It's a collection of people who work with at-risk kids by trying to combine their different services. The committee started and then we started adding people from schools, and then it got to be this big committee. It actually changed the way the system worked and made it more fluid."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I see myself still working with kids in some way. I'm a ladder-climbing sort of person, and I see myself moving up. Politics may be somewhere in my future, or maybe I'll get my master's."
