Where did you come up with the idea for Project X?
"Mostly through just talking and working with the Youth Advocacy Program of Oswego County."
Why are the arts, environment and wilderness so important to you?
"I think those are areas that were very important to me while I was growing up. I don't think people are spending enough time outside or finding time to creatively express themselves."
What do you hope to accomplish through Project X?
"We want to start right on the ground level. You don't have to go outside of Oswego County to enjoy the natural world. I don't think there's enough awareness on what resources are available in the county. We also want to educate people on the artistic venues that they have. You don't have to be a rock star or a famous painter to creatively express yourself. I want to provide people with a venue for that. The county offers a lot of resources. I would like to start helping the people to become resources themselves."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I guess doing a lot more of the same thing. I'd like to have Project X in a place where that awareness is there. I want it to be sustainable year-round program."
